Japanese cultural center and gallery RESOBOX continues to produce awesome events, and one that’s coming up is a workshop about soba noodles—you’ll learn how to make them, cook them, and of course, eat them! More details below:
Soba is a traditional Japanese food that has been eaten for ages. It’s delicious and can be found in many Japanese restaurants in New York, but did you know that soba noodles have many health benefits? Eating these buckwheat noodles will help you recover from fatigue and prevent your skin from aging too quickly. Some even believe that if you eat soba, you will live longer!
In this workshop led by instructor Asako Nonaka, you will learn about, cook, and eat soba. First, she will demonstrate how to make soba from buckwheat flour. After making and eating your own soba noodles, you can try some snacks made of buckwheat flour. These are specially homemade by the instructor. It will be a delicious and enjoyable experience, so please join us!
The workshop is on Sunday, December 14, from 10 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $40 and that includes the soba and dessert. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org and they’ll let you know how to purchase tickets.
RESOBOX Gallery is located at 41-26 27th Street.
