Today we’re thrilled to announce the Queens Beer Book by our friends at Brokelyn. We’ve been hearing about it for months, and it’s finally here. Beer lovers’ rejoice- this one’s for you! For those who love exploring Astoria and Long Island City’s craft beer and brewing scene, the brand new Queens Beer Book is a must-have this summer and the rest of the year.

The limited-edition Queens Beer Book — out today in time for a Father’s Day release — is a booklet of vouchers to local craft beer bars and breweries offering the chance to enjoy 30 beers at 30 bars across Queens for just $30, through the end of the year (Dec. 15, 2015).

What it is: A great gift for yourself, a family member or friend to discover, celebrate and support Queens’ ever-expanding craft beer scene at the breweries, bars and restaurants that are making it happen.

What it isn’t: A bar crawl. The vouchers are good through Dec. 15, 2015, so users should take their time enjoying each bar, along with trivia nights, live music, food and other amenities. The books are published by Brokelyn, following the success of nine editions of their Brooklyn Beer Book, which has introduced beer lovers across the city to their favorite Brooklyn bars over the past five years.

“The NYC craft beer scene has been growing exponentially, and Queens has been at the forefront of that growth. Six new breweries have opened their doors to Queens beer drinkers in the past three years alone, with more on the way,” said Cat Wolinski, a NYC-based freelance writer and beer advocate who curated the Queens Beer Book.

“After the success of the Beer Books in Brooklyn, it was impossible to ignore Queens as our next step in connecting beer lovers with local craft beer-centric businesses in their areas.”

Long Island City venues include Alewife, Alobar, Rockaway Brew Co., Rèst-âü-Ránt and LIC Beer Project. (Who’s been to LIC Beer Project yet? We’re curious to know what you think!)

Other featured neighborhoods include Ridgewood, Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Glendale and Bayside.

For the full list of venues and to buy books, visit Brokelyn.com for USPS shipping or at Lockwood Shop (32-15 33rd Street, Astoria) for in-store pick up starting Saturday, June 13th.

But don’t wait too long — if the Brooklyn Beer Books are any indication, this small-batch promotion won’t last. Cheers!
